How NDBC camera links work
NDBC documents BuoyCAM image URLs as station-camera image files under the public NDBC image host. The live KML feed includes the current image URL when a recent picture is available.
Some listed stations can report “Picture not available.” BuoyStat.us preserves that state and links back to NDBC instead of substituting a placeholder image.
Observation readings and camera availability are separate products. A station can have current observations with no camera image, or a camera entry while individual metrics remain missing.
